Northern Ireland Radio Controlled Model Bike Association

Welcome to the official site of the N.I.R.C.M.B.A. Our aim is to make our rules of competition clear to all R/C bike enthusiasts wishing to compete in the National Rounds organized by our Association.
HOW WE GOT FORMED
In 1998 I travelled over to England to watch the Woodvale Model show. I noticed a fellow (Paul Yarwood) preparing a track for what I thought was R/C cars. I went over to talk to him and he kindly offered me his R/C bike for the weekend.
I participated in the event on the Saturday finishing third overall. That night I purchased a bike for myself and agreed to be the representative for Northern Ireland.Campbell Wade.
Chairman.WHAT WE CATER FOR
We (NIRCMBA) cater for two main classes of the sport (Solo Motorcycle and Sidecar Racing machines). Our championship rounds will cover both groups at two different levels. Our initial interest is with 1:8 scale machines but other scales and categories will be catered for if and when interest is shown.
WHO DO WE CATER FOR
Anyone can compete at any round of our National Championship but they must have full NIRCMBA membership or show proof of full comprehensive insurance through another R/C organisation (BRCA, EFRA, etc.).
