RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR 1:8 SOLO BIKES

All solo motorbikes must represent 500cc Grand Prix machines. Two levels of competition will be catered for (standard and modified). All solo bike must be either standard Kyosho machines or a competitor can scratch design his own chassis. If you decide to build your own chassis, Kyosho suspension and wheels must still be incorporated. Any fairings or other body parts moulded by a competitor must be presented to the NIRCMBA to confirm they are within the rules. The standard Kyosho kit can be upgraded with hop up parts such as wheel and gearbox bearings, oil filled suspension (rear only), high grip tyres and, of course, high revving ball raced motors (Kyosho Grand Prix 28BB).

Standard class is for those persons wishing to compete on a smaller budget. Only standard kits can be used in this class - no ballrace parts, no oil filled shocks and only Le Mans DM20 motors can be used.
Modified class is for all persons wishing to modify their Kyosho machine or design and build their own design.

N.B. - if a new manufacture produces a machine which comes in a standard form similiar to the Kyosho kit, this may also be used in the standard class when the NIRCMBA clears it for competition use.
